If you have been charged with arson, it is highly recommended that you contact an attorney immediately. This is not the type of charge that will go away by itself. The earlier you hire an attorney, the more time they will have to investigate and work on your case.
At The McShane Firm, we answer yes to all of these questions. We strive to provide you with a great customer service experience during this tough time.

In 1979, James Hugney Sr. was found guilty of an arson murder in the infamous “Burning Bed Case”. Fire investigators at the time interpreted the burn marks to show that Hugney poured gasoline around the bed of his son. He was convicted to life without the possibility of parole.
In 2011, Attorney Justin McShane and his team at The McShane Firm reviewed the case and believed the fire investigators were wrong. They retained three international fire experts each of whom concluded that modern day fire science disproved the theory that this was an arson.
“After years of hard work, we were able to secure Hugney’s release after nearly 36 years.”
I could not be happier with the attorney I selected. There are hundreds of local attorneys and Justin McShane is by far the best. His services are worth every penny.
I felt your firm had everything under control. You were on top of things and most of all I knew I did not have to worry about anything– which was great.
I am satisfied and impressed how much Justin did to help my cause. I can’t say enough how I appreciated his dedication.
McShane is a genius. Simple as that.
