Unfortunately, this wasn’t my first time facing DUI charges. I already had a prior conviction and this time I was involved in an accident on my way home from a friend’s party.
Justin McShane is really an excellent attorney. He worked hard for my cause and I can’t express how much I appreciate his hard work and dedication. He got my DUI charges dropped and worked hard to minimize my other charges as well. He always returned my phone calls, which in my experience, is very rare for attorney running a practice as busy as his.

I am a single mother and because of work could not spend enough time watching over my son. Unfortunately, he became involved with gangs and out himself in a very bad position. One of his friends was involved in a homicide and my son was being charged as well.
My sister recommended Justin McShane and we decided to have him represent us. He worked really hard and was very prepared. He cross-examined every witness and in the end my son was acquitted of all of the felony counts and left with a misdemeanor.
When I took my son to Mr. McShane’s office to thank him, he went out of his way to talk to my son about his involvement in gangs. He explained how serious these charges were and that if he continued in that way he could get into a lot of trouble. It looks like my son took that to heart because he has been staying at home more and we’ve been talking about getting him back into school.

Dear Justin,
I want to sincerely thank you for your incredible honesty, integrity, and professionalism in the case of my DUI back in February, 2009.
After my arrest on December 29, 2007 you have given my case the care and respect beyond what any other attorney wanted to give me. After the initial meeting with you I was impressed so much that I actually could not believe what I was hearing. You described how you would go about handling my case and described to me what no other attorney could describe because of their lack of knowledge and experience in this field. I had sat down with two other attorney’s in the DUI field and came out in a very depressed state. The first attorney told me to just plead guilty, the other attorney said for $500 he would take care of my case. He never said exactly how or what he would do for me.
When I sat down with you Mr. McShane you told me how this was my livelyhood, I realize even more today how important it was, I could never have worked with another trucking company or any other job of any meaning if I would have been convicted of DUI, for that matter I would had lost my job of $23 per hour driving truck. It was your persistence and determination to see to that I was found NOT GUILTY. I had been to the Dauphin County Courthouse over 7 times, due to the fact that the police department would not bring evidence and or police officers who were required to appear and either or the evidence or the police officers would not show up. If it weren’t for your persistence in filing motions in the court for this evidence and or police officers named this case would have went to trial and I would have been found GUILTY. Many times I was about to give up when you explained to me that could give up, but that you had felt had a solid case and if I did what you had asked of me that you felt with an 80 to 90% confidence, I would be found NOT GUILTY.
Your professionalism, knowledge of all the equipment involved in a DUI, your expert witnesses, and the handling of the entire case is something to be added to the law books. In fact I think it was mentioned that this case is a break through in many way’s and that it will go down in case law? I have even went under my name in [Google] and have found the case.
I have not thanked you enough and I cannot thank you enough or express my deepest thanks not only to you, but to your entire staff! The professionalism, knowledge, experience and caring of your staff is second to none!

I think back some months ago when I was desperate and went to the Public Defenders office and received no help from them and they gave me five names of attorney that might be able to help with my case. I left that office not knowing what my future might hold. I tried calling the first three names with no luck. Either no one answered or I got an answering machine. Your office was the fourth name I called and someone did answer. I remember our initial telephone conversations. Lengthy ones that most attorneys would not have show such interest and reassuring in nature. Because of those first calls I knew I had found someone that was honest and could help me with the problem I faced. I don’t know why during business hours on a weekday those first three calls weren’t answered; all I do know is that I am sure glad they weren’t.

Unfortunately I am the owner of some bad decisions in my life. Choosing the McShane Firm isn’t one of them. This was my second DUI case and I was afraid that I was going to lose my license. This time I only had some light drinks but was unlucky and got pulled over. Obviously, I was very scared and confused. How would my prior violation affect this case? Am I going to jail? Will I lose my license? These were just some of the questions swirling around in my head. I settled down and called a bunch of lawyers. The first one that called me back was Attorney Tim Barrouk. The first thing I liked about him was his compassion. He really cares about his clients and fighting for their rights. Tim was willing to do the dirty work that other attorneys in my previous cases were not. Where they settled and took the easy road, Tim went to bat for me. Watching Tim in trial is remarkable. When he sets foot in the courtroom, he is the expert. From the onset of his cross-examination, the state trooper, (who had over twelve years of experience) never had a chance. The result- Not Guilty. For an unfortunate circumstance the experience was incredible. As I was nervous from get go, Michelle and Attorney Hoover took the time to speak to me, listen to me and answer lots of questions.

I had a BAC of .19, so I thought it was only a formality before I was cooked. A friend of mine told me to consult with The McShane Firm. David Hoover took my case and I am very happy he did. He was able to get all of the charges against me dropped because the police did not follow the correct roadside procedures.
