Scott Wholaver Testifies Against Brother

ABC27.com
Wednesday March 26, 2003
By Katie McCarthy

On Wednesday Scott Wholaver testified against his brother Ernest. He gave a dramatic account that places Ernest Wholaver at the house the morning of the murders – dressed in dark clothing, gloves, and a ski mask.

Scott Wholaver struck a deal with prosecutors… he will plead guilty to three counts of third degree murder in exchange for testimony against his brother. The prosecution says Ernest Wholaver murdered his wife, Jean, and daughters, Victoria and Elizabeth on December 24th. Scott Wholaver’s attorney says Scott did ‘not’ know Ernest was going to kill his family… and he regrets what happened more than we’ll ever know. The district attorney’s office has not decided whether or not to seek the death penalty against Ernest Wholaver.
