Wholaver Plea Bargain

The brother of an accused murderer has agreed to a lesser sentence, but now must testify against his own brother.

Scott Wholaver pled guilty to three counts of third-degree murder. He now faces between 12-and a-half to 25 years in prison.

On Christmas Eve, Scott allegedly drove his brother Ernest to Middletown, where police say Ernest killed his estranged wife and two daughters.

Scott Wholaver’s Attorney Justin McShane: “I can tell you that his deliberation to take the Commonwealth up on its offer has been a hard one for him. It’s his oldest brother and of course the ties of brotherhood are very strong.”

Ernest Wholaver is scheduled to appear in court in September.
