Attorney Hoover earns Not Guilty in assault trial

December 10, 2009

Today Attorney Hoover was able to secure a complete and total acquittal on behalf of J.G. A jury of twelve citizens of Lebanon County deliberated for less than an hour before finding Mr. Gardner not guilty of the crime of simple assault.

The afternoon trial consisted of testimony presented by the Commonwealth through three witnesses. First, Mr. G’s own mother was called as a witness against him. Second, Mr. G’s wife was compelled to testify against her husband as she was the alleged victim. Finally, an Officer of the Lebanon City Police Department testified before the jury as he was the first law enforcement officer to respond after having been called by the neighbors. In addition, the Commonwealth introduced an eight (8) page statement that was hand-written by Mrs. G shortly after the alleged incident took place.

Despite this testimony and through careful cross-examination by Attorney Hoover, the jury returned a verdict of not guilty after less than an hour of deliberations.

Testimonials

I was treated with respect. Not only by Attorney Barrouk, but by all staff I interacted with. I was kept informed and all options [were] thoroughly discussed with me. [Attorney Barrouk] fought to get the best resolution of my case. I did not feel he was “just going through the motions.”

I could not be happier with the Attorney I selected. There are hundreds of local attorneys and Justin McShane is by far the best. His services are worth every penny.

Unfortunately, this wasn’t my first time facing DUI charges. I already had a prior conviction and this time I was involved in an accident on my way home from a friend’s party.

Justin McShane is really an excellent attorney. He worked hard for my cause and I can’t express how much I appreciate his hard work and dedication. He got my DUI charges dropped and worked hard to minimize my other charges as well. He always returned my phone calls, which in my experience, is very rare for attorney running a practice as busy as his.
