With his background as a PA police officer, Attorney DePowell brings no-nonsense tenacity to the courtroom to fight for your rights.

A former Northeastern Pennsylvania police officer, Attorney Bryan E. DePowell brings invaluable real-world experience and insight to the application of criminal law. Leaving his career in law enforcement in 2005, Attorney DePowell attended the University of Hawaii Manoa in Honolulu, where he majored in Political Science. After graduating with honors in 2007, he returned to Pennsylvania to attend the Widener University School of Law in Harrisburg. Admitted to the bar in April of 2010, Attorney DePowell is the latest addition to The McShane Firm’s team of exceptional criminal defense attorneys.

Specialized DUI Training

Like all the attorneys at The McShane Firm, Attorney DePowell attends rigorous, ongoing DUI and drug expert recognition training in order to provide you with the best possible representation. Bryan is an expert in the laws, procedures, biological aspects, and forensic science related to DUI cases. Some highlights of Attorney DePowell’s specialized DUI training will soon include:

  • Instructor Certification of Standardized Field Sobriety Tests (roadside DUI tests) – certification higher than most Pennsylvania police officers.
  • Attendance at the NCDD Summer Session Conducted at the Harvard Law School
  • Alco-Sensor FST Operator and Instructor certification – the same Breathalyzer equipment used by police officers nationwide.
