Attorney Curry is the Senior Litigation Associate with the firm. Attorney Curry graduated cum laude and was ranked in the top 10% of his class from Widener University School of Law. Prior to joining the law firm, he gained his experience working with attorneys in Centre County, the Law Office of the late-John “Rusty” Miller of Lewistown and with the office of the Dauphin County Office of District Attorney. He practices primarily criminal law but has exposure in personal injury law as well.
Attorney Curry has benefited from the direct tutelage of Attorney McShane. Since joining McShane & Hitchings, LLC (the predecessor of the McShane Firm, LLC), he has appeared in 20 counties throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania including: Adams, Berks, Chester, Cumberland, Dauphin, Delaware, Franklin, Fulton, Lebanon, Lehigh, Mifflin, Juniata, Blair, Bedford, Northumberland, Perry, Snyder, Tioga, Union, and York counties.
While handling all types of criminal cases from preliminary hearing to trial and beyond, the bulk of his cases have involved drug-related offenses and DUI with a focus on search and seizure issues. In fact, he recently attended the “Traffic Stops” seminar held in Harrisburg, which was an entire day of training to call into question vehicle stops by the police. He has received specialized training in aggressively defending DUI cases (click here for details) and also in defending allegations involving possession of, or other than legal distribution/manufacture/sale of, controlled substances (drugs). He attended the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers 1st annual Defending Drug Cases Seminar in Houston, Texas where he excelled (click here for proof). He has also developed a niche in representing those who have been accused of hand-to-hand deliveries of a controlled substance involving confidential informants.
Attorney Curry is admitted to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania [the federal court for Central Pennsylvania], and all Pennsylvania courts. He is a member of the following associations:
He has developed a state-wide reputation as being one of the very best cross-examiners of cooperating witnesses (snitches), complaining witnesses (alleged victims), and police officers in the State. Attorney Curry has been selected and serves as a Judge for the Widener University School of Law in the Intensive Trial Advocacy Program (ITAP). The ITAP program trains the next generation of trial lawyers in the specialized skills of oral advocacy that they will need to succeed.
He believes and practices a common-sense solution oriented style of lawyering. He is one who believes in providing a passionate defense on an individualized case-by-case basis.
